Residence, east side of Durham Street, Madoc: Another example of the late Victorian Gothic style with a belvedere at the rooftop. The structure is symmetrical with light-coloured brick walls and a great emphasis on the main entrance. Elongated vertical windows with double-hung sashes and large glass panels, the woodwork-decorated gable end and the wrought iron balcony railing are typical of the style.
